The "expert" on the set also didn't know the right way to pronounce "gigawatt" with a hard g sound... Of course, it is Hollywood, when do they get any type of technical crap right?

Well, i'll change my answer due to the lack of the Mr.Fusion, i just didnt think anyone would notice.

427/428/429, Ford had all three of these, produced for a few years through 68 to 71? (I believe those are the years). Although I am not sure of the specifics for that badging. Perhaps it's a photo of a different year/Boss.
Boss engines actually have a hemispherical engine heads just like Chrysler/Dodge. Boss was basically Ford's Hemi
EDIT: Actually I think that's a nine, the way the bottom of the nine curves makes it look like an eight from in the photo.
