i got pwned at work

this sucks. i work at dairy queen and last friday (the 13th), i had some bad luck. i was opening and filling the vanilla syrup at the counter across from the arctic rush machine, when suddenly i hear something falling behind me. The metal rack that mounts on the front of the arctic rush machine that holds the flavor squirt bottles, randomly fell, and, naturally, i reached out to catch it and it hooked my pinky as it fell to the ground. apparently, whoever closed didnt make sure it was completely back on the screws after washing it  i didnt know if it was broken or what so i finished the day and went to the doc that night...
turned out to be a spiral break that was pretty long and got tendons and approached the joint. soooooo.........i just had my first surgery yesterday and woke up with 4 pins sticking out of my finger.
so now i cant drive until im off the pain meds, work, sweat much, or ride my bike for the rest of the summer. i get it off a week before classes start.

You will, they're gonna make you start stretching it back out. Trust me, listen to them and do it....I didn't and only have about 60% of the same flexibility in my right ankle compared to my left.

yea, workers comp is covering it and giving me 2/3 while i cant work. it sucks for them b/c im just s summer employee and theyre having to pay all this (their insurance i mean)...i just wish i could do stuff
