I really wish I had more power in my 351... are there any cheap kits for turbos out there for this car? or not really....

and my second question is were can I get headers that will hug the engine to fit a 6 banger swap to a 351 in a 65?

thanks alot guys,
nolan

i dont think there is such a thing as a "cheap turbo." its one of those things where you get what you pay for. if they were cheap, everyone and their mother would be turboed. its all relative... what were you lookin to pay? i would assume for the whole deal it would be a couple thousand (3-6 thousandish maybe?)

You can make all kinds of crazy power with a 351W without a turbo.

I'd look into a 408 stroker kit, a set of AFR 205 heads and a custom cam. You've already got the carb. A good quality stroker kit will ensure that if you decide you want more power later, a turbo will always still be an option.

You should be able to make an easy 450 rwhp with a properly set up N/A 408 though.

Oh, and since I forgot that you were looking for headers, my wife swapped a 302 in her 66 a few years back and was using Flowtech headers. I know the deck is a little higher, but I'm 99 percent sure if you check around with the exhaust companies, they would know better since they are who the people call when they order them anyway. I would think even with a 351 based block any longtube would still do since she had PLENTY room in hers to start.

408 W Stroker Kit

There is your stroker kit, just find a 351W roller block and a good engine builder...

205cc Small Block Ford: Aluminum cylinder head manufacturing and flow dynamics

There is the site for the heads. You will probably have to call for a price...

Hellion Power Systems - 1987-1993 Fox Body Kit

Here is a kit for a Foxbody, but I'm sure you can talk to them about putting it in a '66. Should be pretty close as far as clearancing goes...
