I've been listening to clips on SVTP of exhaust setups, and Im loving Mac. Anyone who has it, is it worth the fitment hassle? or should I look else where. I love Bassani on my GT, but it doesn't sound good on the 4v motors. Any suggestions? Id get the Mac SS 2.5"" CB if anything.

Borla ftw....MAC ftl....it's really a personal thing and your choice, but as a whole, MAC makes cheap quality parts for a cheap price...you get what you pay for...Borla is probably top of the line and the best choice IF you can and are willing to pay the extra money

My friend had Borla Stingers, and a O/R X and it sounded like ass, he didnt like it much either maybe Ill just have an exhaust shop do the Mac, and if need be they can cut it to make it fit.

I think its more of which one you think sounds better or whats your favorite brand. I have a Magnaflow CB and like it, buts its not the loudiest if thats what your after. I agree you about not liking the way the Bassani exhaust sounds on the Cobras, but many do like it.
Look here.

Yea, Ive been listening to the exhaust stuff there. Wish the car sounded like my 5.0 haha, but I wont be out that much in it, so I think a little loud will be ok, Im thinking Mac 2.5
I like the sound of Kooks headers/midpipe/Mac CB, and full mac sounds well too such as EVIL1's cobra here
Borla is ok, but its the stingers that I don't like.

Two of my friends have 04 cobra's and one has the stock h-pipe with magnaflow catback and i think it sounds amazing. The other has a offroad h pipe with slp LM2 and it sounds good at idle but WAY too raspy at WOT.Personally i would look at a magnaflow catback they are high quality and sound great.

I would go with Borla if I was going to do a full fitment exhuast setup, my friend has it on his 03 Cobra with the stock H I believe, and it sounds awesome!
He got his from 21st Century Exhuast out of Florida, shipped for $425 to him.
I had Borla Stingers on the Mach1 I had and it sounded great!

I had an offroad x-pipe and Mac cat back on my '97 Cobra and it sounded great. I've had zero fitment or quality issues with Mac on any application that I have used it on (i.e. 5.0s or 4.6dohc).
