Valve Stem Covers (slight rant)

So anyone buy aftermarket valve stem covers? I noticed my car didn't have any so awhile ago I bought some new ones. They were silver caps, I figured a step up from black plastic. I washed my car the other day and as I got down to wash my tires I noticed they were missing, on all four wheels! I got pissed. Not so much that I didn't have them anymore (as in my possession) but because someone actually decided to steal them. For God's sake they were $2 at AutoBarn. It also annoys me that they are probably on some crapped out Honda or Nissan. Ahugh! To make things better as I started to wax it started to rain and stopped raining as I stopped and finished up. At least it gives me a reason to wash and wax my car again this week  [/rant part]
So anyone ever had this happen to them, the valve covers or other things being stolen off? I'm assuming that the waxing in the rain has occurred to many already and I just thought that was a nice kick.

I have had two sets of valve caps stolen, both sets were the little autozone $4.99 chrome ones...its really irritating too...its not really about the money, just the fact that someone would steal something so piddly seems ridiculous...
I also had someone steal 2 of my center caps off my ford focus that i used to have...that one pissed me off too...but not as much as the valve covers...the center caps were like $20 a piece from ford...ford is robbing you for them anyway lol

some people just like to do something to nice cars.... or because they dont have something nice like that etc etc...
I talked to someone that said while he was at the movies someone ripped off his hood scoop on his 99-04 stang and just threw it out in the middle of the parking lot.

people can be so stupid before the Mustang I bought my wife an '04 Acura TSX black on black
she was at her mothers house and her sister was their with her altima also black well someone scratched a smiley face in her sister's hood and carved a big G in my wife's LR quater panel

someone stole the pony off the front of my car... im pretty sure someone did it when drunk after a home football game.
