So the tuner forgot to tell me, and I didnt even think about it, but I forgot to put 93 in the car b4 I got on the dyno. So as of right now, I only have the numbers for an 87 tune. I got a switch put in so that I can change it to 93 myself once I cycle the shit gas out. But on a mustang dyno with 87 I put down, 244/275. This is with jlt cai, bbk lt's, bbk x-pipe and a flowmaster cb. I was only able to get a print out of the graph. I will be taking the car back in a week or so to put it onto the dyno again to test out the 93 tune on the car and see what it puts down again. What do ya guys think?

Cool... Those numbers aren't too far from what a Bullitt puts down. I think with the 91 tune you should definately pick up some more power.

^ if I had it I would surely give it to you. and yea, there was a bullitt there that put down 27*/*** that had slp everything from lts, to the exhaust and a cobra intake on a 93 tune.
Im going back in a week or so, so I will try to get the files then.

Maybe he is preparing to run a whipple/KB/eaton and had easy access to a cobra intake. :dunno:

i asked if he was planning on going sced, and his response was, " no im keeping it stock" just another case of a guy with too much money. he had every upgrade in suspension you can have, the trac bars, new brakes, springs, calipers tower brace, and all the other stuff you could imagine," the whole suspension system is boxed out.". he said "it makes cobras look twice when he goes around turns." for a guy who was about 40+, he didnt rly know much, just how deep his pockets were. this is all good modding, but not with a car you are planning on keeping around the same hp/tq as I am making right now.

On second thought, does the the intake manifold off of a 4V motor even fit a 2V motor??

Well, I say no, but, I also said a 3 valve head wouldn't fit on a 2 valve motor and it was stated I was wrong, so who knows.

if the 4 valve & 2 valve share the same block than they might have the same intake valley sprade

I wasn't implying the valley spread, but then again, with wider and taller heads to make room for the extra 2 valves, that would come into play also. I was talking about the position of the intake ports on a 2V compared to the position of the ports on a 4V

That's why I didn't think 3 valve heads would fit on a 2 valve gt...the intake can't possibly line up.
Just like I wouldn't think the intake for a cobra would line up with GT heads.
But...I'm not an engine guru so I can't say for sure.

Dam man... Our stock one lasted over 70 and still had some left when I went ahead and replaced it due to the TO bearing... And that was powershifting it all along... Sounds like we have a clutch rider JK

heads and intakes for different valve amounts do not go hand in hand.
im pretty sure if you go with a 4v heads, you need the 4v intake as well. same goes with 3v, 3v heads use 3v intake, 2v heads use 2v intake. because of the actual size of the head, the mating variances are different, ports are designed different, etc.
as far as i know, you can fit any modular head on a modular block. getting it to work right is a different story (especially when it comes to the 3v and their vtec stuff).

my stock clutch is still fine at 52k miles... I hope it stays that way lol... I have thought of just getting it over with and having it changed when I pulley/tune... along with a cooling mod while Ive got the tranny out but i dont feel like pulling the tranny myself... and I dont have the time to wait on it if I let someone like amazon do the work... and that will be about 1500 more dollars I need to spend on it.

You all missed my point.. But I was vague You guys do know that I drive a Bullitt right???
I was talking about this statement. A pre 99-04 cobra intake is still coming off of a 4V motor... So it wouldn't matter if the intake came off off an 01 Cobra, or a 96 Cobra, it's still coming off of a 4V motor.....

Brembo rotors, PBR calipers, Twin 57 mm throttle body, Cobra alternator, Cobra mufflers, subframe connectors, Bullitt Springs, Tokico Shocks/Struts, Aluminum intake..... But yes, performance wise, very close to a stock GT.... Oh and they did come in a Dark Highland Green that was not offered but on the Bullitt.
