I wonder if anyone is familiar with this problem. when I'm pulling in to a parking space or I'm going on reverse (very low speed) I push the clutch to get on 1st or 2nd . I heard a loud clonck noise in the tranny , and at the time of releasing the clutch too.another problem is when I release the clutch to go on 1st Ican heard a loud grinding noise on the tranny . I've taken it to three different four dealers. the first dealer said that it was normal , three different times. second dealer said that is the gear roll over (normal) . when I took it to the 3rd dealer, they change the clutch and I paid 600.00 and not only not fix the problem but is worse now . what do you think.

that's why ford don't wanna touch it. cuz the warranty expires at 36,000.

warrenty cover a failure but not worn clutchs. if it's making noise it's not worn it's failing. but if you already paid for it. it will be hard to get your money back.. the up side is that they didn't fix your orginal complaint and you paid them to do so. so now you have them by the balls. you have a comeback onyour hands thay have to fix it now.

no and the only way you should change your mind is if they give you paperwork from Ford not from the dealership stating it is normal. I work for a Cadillac service dept. I deal with this kind of thing all the time.

Thats what I was thinking. Use to do it in my 5.0, always when putting it into drive or reverse. Turned out to be the U-joints being worn out.
