Ive been looking all over the place for my GF a project car, and i think we've finally found one that I think she has just about decided to purchase - a '93 LX 5.0 hatch, thats without trans, engine harness, and ECM. the car was an original 5 spd car as well, with elec windows, locks and such. All the A/C has been removed, and it has to have a fuel pump.
My plans are to run a stock t-5, with a stock EFI engine, and get it as close to stock as it can be.
Ive found an 87 Mark VII that has a supposedly good engine and straight body/frame. It also is an E code car, which means it has the 225 HP engine (IIRC). I can use the front rotors to do a 5 lug on her car, and use the rear stuff on my own car to do rear discs, and give her my axles/drums to finish it on hers.
What im considering doing is using the engine, ecm and engine harness from the Lincoln to get her car running. Can i use the ecm and harness? Are there any modifications that need to be made to make the harness work?
I am also considering finding a MAF, Harness and ECM to run it like it was stock... what else would i need to make it work?
I know these may sound like simple questions to some of you, but if someone can just point me in a direction, i would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks!
-One more thing i just thought about as well - I was given a stock radiator out of a 98 Cobra that is in perfect shape - will it fit a fox?
