Just bolted on a borla catback. Its actually more quiet than my flowmaster was which I am not too happy about. It is deeper at higher RPM but is very quiet at idle. I dont want the car to be rediculously loud, but I want it to be alittle more than what it is. I was thinking about cutting out 2 cats, but I know the when you mess with the cats it tends to sound like Sh*t. I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

^pretty much, bcuz flowmaster on a 6 is probably the best throaty sounding cb for a 6. obviously thats my opinion. but I have had flows on mine and think they sounded the best out of others I have heard.

yeah I thought borla might be a little better just because its so pricey. it sounds good, just not as loud as I would like. Its hard to get this car to be loud though. Even when I ran it with no mufflers in the middle of the install it didn't sound that loud.

honestly.. there is no muffler that will give a v6 the sound you desire.
its a sad realization a lot of us have to come to haha.

yep haha I just kept hoping that a miracle would happen and I would come across that one muffler that would do it for me. But I think I will just end the exhaust mods and hopefully it will grow on me. I dont know why but I cant bring myself to sell it for a GT. I guess it holds too much sentimental value.

I have an offroad x and straight through mufflers, it gives a good idle, but still sounds like a V6 the rest of the time.

Yeh...it's pretty bad up top. But...that's what I get for making it loud.

the best exhaust setup that i've found is an offroad x with chambered mufflers (flowmasters, stock, etc)
o/r x and a straight through design doesnt sound right under 3k rpms but above when it fills out the pipes with air, then it sounds good

I have my first 2 cats deleted. Without a doubt, if you want it louder at idel this will do wonders.
And it shouldn't sound too bad with those mufflers. But I like the sound mine makes and I guess it is a little whiney above 4k, I have gotten complaints...

Changing the cams to bigger ones will also greatly affect your exhaust tone...wouldn't it? Anybody heard a v6 w/ cams and exhaust before?

A cam isnt too expensive if thats all your doing and installing it yourself. The labor fees are what kills you.

Do cams affect gas mileage and drive ability? I do not have much experience so I would not trust myself installing one.
