If anyone didnt notice my signature making changes, heres why:
Guy i sold the Cobra to has always kept in touch with me through SVTperformance. Well one day my draftsman throws a strange number at me, 11k for both my cars (GT and GSX). Done Deal, as i could just get a Cobra anywhere. Same night talking to my best friend he says to try to talk the guy who bought my cobra into selling it back to me if the GT/GSX deal goes through. Later the next day i get a PM from him on SVT basically telling me hes thinking about selling the Cobra for a GTO (Boltons+Nitrous). So for the past 3 weeks things have been going back and forth between the guy buying my cars, getting the cobra, etc. Tuesday he finally got the loan for the GT/GSX deal and those were gone that day.
So this weekend i took a little drive and got my Cobra back, and IMO in even better condition. He hit up the hood/roof with SSR2.5/2.0/1.0 with the PorterCable method, finished with the normal sealer and natty's blue. The hood/roof had hard water spots that i couldnt get out with standard optimum polish or compound, but the SSR did it. I am quite pleased.
When i had it last, it had just a 2.93" pulley and tune, billetflow plenum, bassani catted X and catback, steeda cai. Now it has a 2.8" pulley, Amazon tune, Billetflow Redfire 100mm idlers, AccuFab 105mm single-blade TB (i guess 1 of 15 evar!), LFP Dual Pass Heat Exchanger, Polished Coolant Overflow and HE Reservoir. I had him put the stock H pipe back on for legality reasons, plus id like to have it for if i ever change it out, its dumb to be stuck without one. IMO i like the sound of a Hpipe over the Catted X that was on it before, sounds more musclecar-ish. if i do anything itll be a H-Pipe with High-Flow cats, make it a little louder but retain the muscle tone.
It has 10k HID fogs and 12k HID headlights. 17x10 Rear w/Nitto555R, 17x9 Front with Nitto555. MGW w/Orange Handle and stock knob (ill be getting a different knob shortly).
Mods i intend on doing in the short-term:
Redfire 2.8" Pulley
Dyno Tune
Redfire IRS Brace (Ordered already!)
Redfire Coil Covers
Possibly a Redfire Pulley cover if i can get it to work, however he lost my old one, along with a slew of other parts when he moved.
if anyone cares, the last pics are random driving pics, and the mountain shots are of a mountain we will be driving up this weekend called Mt. Hamilton. On top is a Observatory (Lick Observatory), its 40miles of 2 lane twisties. We dont intend to attack the mountain but it will be a brisk run to the top.
as for the pics: i dont like the way these turned out. If anyone checks my garage, those came out way way better using my buddies camera. ill prolly end up borrowing it from now on. that camera brought out the Redfire like no other, mine just makes it look maroonish.

This may not be the same guy, just seemed like too many variables falling in the same place:

haha what an asshat, ill have to give him a call. i know he has the predator and 2.76 cause he wanted to install them but per Robs advice about added heat and no real gains i declined.
looks like he was planning nitrous.......prolly to cool down the heat from the 2.76.
me too, since i will be keeping the rims, i will be getting some Black cobra inserts. Chrome inserts with black rims dont work together, they have to go hand in hand. ill probably keep them just in case i get some chrome fr500's or the like in the future. i know soon i will need a spare set of rear rims+tires, the nitto555r do not do anything but spin in the rain, according to alot of intraweb info. prolly get some KDW2's for the second set for the winter.

are you trying to tell me something
i think most people on here know how i feel about black rims. IMO they look like junk, however. I have grown attached to this look on this car, it looks more grown-up, mean, muscular (especially with the slight buldge the nittos give), almost bully-like. like, "all booker, no looker, move along folks, nothing to see here!" kinda deal.

Or, perhaps it says, "Hey cool, a red cobra with black rims, nice!"

Nice!
Where will you get Redfire C/O's from?
I need to get all the parts I have sitting on my floor on my car!
BTW many I recommend this also Mr. Thomas. I have it but its just not on my car, but it looks like a great produce for a IRS equip Cobra, and many people are praising it.
