Recently the top anchor plate bolt on the right rear brake caliper managed to disappear, I don't know if it vibrated out somehow or what. Anyway, I am trying to figure out how to get a hold of a replacement bolt for it. I found the whole bracket with bolts for sale but I can't find just the bolt so in order to save some money I was hoping someone here could tell me if they knew what size the bolt was so I could buy a replacement.

Here is the bracket from the Autozone site: http://www.autozone.com/R,APP1190289...ductDetail.htm

I also attached a picture of the front anchor plate bolt (circled), I don't know if that helps or not, I would think the front and rear bolts would be the same size, but I dunno.

I consulted my Haynes manual and a million different online sources and couldn't find the specs on that bolt, and I am trying to avoid having to take apart my other caliper to bring that bolt in to measure it and I can't remove the bottom bolt because it is blocked by the brake line so any help you guys could give me would be great. Thanks!

You know I had the same thing happen to me. Was driving around and didnt notice a thing, and then someone pointed out my caliper was hanging! Wore out the brake pads sideways too. Dont know the specs but if give ford a call they might help you out if they arent jerks about it.

So...how did you get the replacement bolt?

I have looked through the Motorcraft part catalog and all I can find is the BRPK5618A Rear Brake Hardware kit and it doesn't appear to have the correct bolt in it.

Guy I was friends with who had a shop got one from me from NAPA and when I had my car on his lift we fixed it. Try them out they probably have it.

Thanks for the help guys!

I ended up figuring out that it is a M12 x 1.75 x 35mm bolt but none of my local auto parts stores had that size (only 30mm and 40mm ) so I called around to my local Ace hardware and they had the exact size bolt in stock there. So I bought the hardened bolt and installed it and it seems to be working perfectly.
