Factory Radio...

I have a 1996 v6 mustang and I had an aftermarket radio but it stoppe working, so i am putting the factory radio back in.

When i bought the car it only had the factory tape player...i bought a cdplayer to go along with it (factory)

the only problem is that there are 2 connections on the back of the cd player and no wires to plugin.
Now...on the tape player there are 3 connections, only 2 of which are being used, i was told that the third one is a 'jumper wire' which will plugin to the tape player then "Y" to the 2 plugins for the cdplayer.

My problem is, there is no factory wire in my car that will allow me to do this.

My question is, where can i get this wire and is my information even correct?

Your car may not have come with a cd player from the factory, meaning you will need a compatible head unit to match with the factory cd player. You'll probably come out cheaper and better just buying another aftermarket headunit to replace all of it.

You are going to need a harness that plugs from the back of the tape player into the CD player and from the CD player on to the speakers, unless you have an amp (which I believe anything with a CD player has) in which case you will need the harness to plug into the amp.

I'd check eBay, audio shops, swap meets, junkyards, online classifieds (for those who are no longer using theirs due to aftermarket radios), and lastly a Ford Dealership/Service center.

I'm including a bunch of attachments (actually one big .pdf file) for the radio wiring I have I printed out from All Data a while ago. Hope that's okay. Hope it helps.

Ford house said they cannot order it, they can only order the entire harness costing 500+ dollars, I have checked many places and have only one more shot, our main junk yard....hopefully ill have some luck
