Nice, I'm all for it.
Some people freak out about Big Brother on their backs.
I think it's those people who are doing illegal things that are the ones who freak out about it.
Personally, if my car was stolen I'd be quite happy if cops around the area had this in their vehicle or stationed at Freeway overpasses.

cops already use stuff like this, its more manual, but we put a plate in, and it tells me who u are, what u are driving and if you have warrants, also if you have no insurance, uninsured, unregistered, unlicensed, etc etc etc....

The more automatic feature of you just driving and it doing it is what is great. You cant key in every tag ever and such. This catches people just driving by.

oh yeah i know that and i love that new system, but we just got this other system that is really nifty, it also actually lets me chat with the officers while they are on the street so if i have emergency information (i.e. major warrant) i can alert them w/out alerting the driver that we know they are wanted
plus, it also allows me to talk to other PDs in the area w/out anyone hearing it and helps with drunk drivers who go into another town get the information right away....
i think if we got the new system shown in that video, i wouldn't be able to handle the amount of car stops in a day, my fingers would be too tired from typing lol
