No start on a '99

Well my girlfriend called me today and said her car wont start. I went over to her house and when i turned the key it only clicked. So i tried jumping it and still only a click. i thought it was the battery but all her electronics work, so i kinda ruled that out. So im not sure what it is next, her alternator or her starter, or something else. Please help her/me out cause she has to get to class.

Might try this on the starter there is a fusible link. It looks almost like another wire but it actually there to protect the electrical system.
Is the THEFT light flashing ??

Troubleshooting A No-Start Problem

ill check on the anti-theft light....but i did notice that the panic button on the remote doesnt work anymore also

check the battery/ starter/ wires for good connections, make sure there isn't any corrosion. then if you have a multi meter check voltage at battery terminals if good there check the voltage at the starter while cranking if thats good replace the starter, most likely its the starter but ive seen people spend money on a starter when it was just the wires( wires are cheaper )

If the engine is not grounded properly it won't start either.
