by the way, i have to have "50-state legal" cats on the car in order to stay in the street touring class for auto-x, so they can't come off altogether...

*edit* long tubes will obviously make the most HP gains, but is it worth the money to do that...take into account the "bang for the buck" factor too...

Long tube will give the best gains IMO

If you are going to go through the PITA to do them, just go ahead and do long tubes. You won't regret it, especially that is another 20 or more hp you'll gain over the stock shorties when the blower goes on.
