I take it nobody makes one? or am i just retarded.
i see billetflow has either a 2.9" or a 2.76". i would get a 2.9" however i would then have to get a set of lowers and eh, id rather wait till i had a ported blower before i start upping the boost (a 2lb or 4lb lower with a 2.9" upper would probably be just a little bit more than just a 2.8" upper correct?) id like to have all matching redfire pulleys, right now the black one just looks out of place with all these fine looking redfire ones all around it. i *could* get a 2.9" and just have a bit less boost, but whats the fun in that?
plus i need to change the belt. im getting a belt squeak ive not heard since i had the DSM, and its not a noise i like to be reminded of (usually was from power steering leaking onto the accessory belt on startups). at first i thought it might be one of the pulleys (bearing needing to be repacked or something) but the duration of the squeak is too long between squeaks to equal a entire rotation of a pulley, and is pretty much one squeak per every full cycle of the belt.
im hoping to tackle the IRS Brace this weekend, however i noticed the removal of the Catback was required, which sucks, because me and mustang exhausts dont get along well. hopefully Ruby will give into the wrench far easier than Ellie did, where almost every bolt was an ordeal.

No one makes a 2.8 in redfire...
The amount of boost difference between a 2.8 and a 2.93 is very minimal...the power between a 2.8 with a lower and a 2.93 with a lower is nearly identical...with the 2.93 being the better choice for belt slip prevention and minimally cooler IAT2 temps.

I have a 2.93" pulley on my blower and its black ,and ugly. I think its a Ford Lightning pulley. If you get a black pulley it will match your rims.

i already have a black pulley. it only matches the rims when the hood is open..........however its one of the first things you see, and its just kills it.
i think i want to do the coil covers and throttle body redfire, get the upper pulley redfire, and polish the Eaton and plenum when i get it ported. that make for a very nice engine bay!

Negative. From my understanding when the 03's first went on sell the Lightning pulley was a popular mod until the aftermarket started making them. Atleast people have told me that.

Yes at least 3, id think more like 4 ???
2.93 is stock, 2.80 some consider 1- 1-1/2 lbs, but it's considered a 2lb pulley. The 2.70 is def considered @3, (I know SFPH's is 2.76, so it's prob less) but a 2.6 should be more ???? NO ???
I would think like 4lbs ???
I run a 8lb lower and 2.7 Magnum upper and see 22lbs at WOT (even at 120 MPH and 5500 RPM) 8+4 + stock boost (@10) =22, so it makes sence to me.

is there a stock size quick change pulley option? - F150online Forums
They must run a smaller lower. I read were it measured 7.4". What is the size of a Terminators stock lower pulley? Seeing as its the same blower I'm sure the Ford wouldn't spin it faster than what the Eaton recommends. I believe Lightnings only make 8 psi stock

^^^22psi on the eaton? even ported, is that even a realistic application?
has anybody blown an eaton? id imagine at twice or even more than recommended rpm's its spinning at, its almost inevitable. doesnt sound smart IMO.

He's running a Magnacharger(spelling).
EDIT:I might be wrong about that, but IDK. What does Magnum stand for, a brand of pulley?

yeah yeah. laugh it up.
when the hoods closed all i see is the thermal waves from the heat extractors, which is mostly from the heat of the massive heaton, which is from spinning due to the pulley being connected to the thingamabobber.
yeah i got nothing. i know its black in my mind......
i talked to the previous owner today. apparently the pulley has been making the squeaking sound, and his solution was to spray it with some silicone lubricant and he says it stays away for a week or so. he has gone through every type of belt out there and that doesnt change it. he said he already replaced all the bearings on the idlers thinking they were the culprit but the only solution was the spray. so seeing it never made the squeak when i had the 2.9" pulley before, i know that *should* remedy the squeak. so no matter what im gonna swap pulleys.

lol wow.
fuck this belt squeak is killing me. makes the car feel and sound like a POS. fuck the IRS brace, all focus is now on silencing the squak!
however today i pulled the blower pulley off, and greased up inside the snout all nice and good, and reinstalled and turned her off. the squeak was gone, however within 30 seconds it had worked its way back and within 5 minutes was just as loud again. i will be throwing on a new belt in hopes of a quick fix, otherwise im thinking if the snout/blower needs rebuilding (58k on the blower, most of which were all pulley'd miles), its time to talk to Steggy. Rebuild with Stage4 port and polished blower+plenum. 2.76" upper/4lb lower will be pretty swell!

i wish.
i will have 2K to play with come wednesday. i have no intention of KB/Whipple in the near future. im pretty satisfied with the car performance wise, im perfectly content with doing absolutely nothing to it but drive it. however if it is the snout that needs rebuilding, im not gonna stop at that, if i have to take off the blower and send it out and be out of a car for the time it takes, then it might as well be worth it when it comes back! if its just the belt, then sweet, cheap fix. i really would rather save up the money and move out.

so per the advice of a racing buddy, i tired out some of that Belt Dressing stuff.
seems to be working pretty good. instead of a constant squeak, its just a squeak or two on startup and once the belt makes a few revolutions, its gone!
im wondering how temporary a solution it is, however im hoping i can just keep applying it when need be, until i have the funds for other things to need a different belt (see above posts)
