Failed!
actually, didnt really get to start. put some bricks behind the front wheels (garage is a little sloped), and went to jack the rear. used the same spot i used for the GT (That flat spot a foot or two in front of the rear tires), however it started to buckle and give way on the cobra. its also acts as a spot my subframes connect to (which, btw is some 1" square bar welded to that flat spot and runs up to the front frame rails and is welded there as well). started making this horrid cracking of metal and weld sounds so i stopped.
what are you guys using for jacking points in the rear?

The pinchweld under the side skirt...back by the rear wheel well. Then I put the jackstands under the subframe connector where it is welded to the car.

lol yeah, i remember i used to use wood to get the GT up high enough to get a jack under, and doing the rear i pulled the gt into the garage really far so i could back up onto the wood, well i couldnt get the car up so i tried harder and ended up basically spinning the tires on the wooden pieces, slingshooting them under the car and into the wall in front of me, and when the gt dropped it took the entire carpet i have on the floor and rolled it up under the car, moved basically every piece of equipment on the carpet, knocked a bunch of shit over, etc. dad was not happy, i was laughing my ass off.
so id assume these "race ramps" have some sort of non-slip liner on the bottoms so they dont move?

you need to use the tq box on the frame for the rear and the sub frames for when jacking the front

Can't get the jack under my subs without jacking it up first.
Hell, I can't get on the pinch welds without jacking the car up a little or using the 2x4/partway up a ramp trick.
