Well I realized I never introduced myself and just kinda' started posting. My name is Joe (so you all don't have to keep calling me OsirisGuy, Joe is a much nicer, short (series of) keystroke).
A bit about my Mustang. It's a '98 V6, as I'm sure I've said before. 99.99% stock. Black (color code UA to be exact). The only modifications I have done to it are my Chase Taillights, new radio, and Blue LEDs in my spare pocket which was a project I just finished tonight. I wired it up to dim with my lights

I originally had the premium stock radio in but the CD Player stopped working and the only radio station I really listen to (KROCK) went to talk format and the only two or three good shows they had on I never did catch so it was time to upgrade. It's a Pioneer DEH-P9800BT for those interested.
I've owned the car about a year and a half. I previously drove a '00 Ford Escort ZX2 and it was my first car and I was damn proud of it since I saved up and had up almost enough for it (I was about $1000 short but my dad had helped me out). I had the car for nine months until I made a left turn on Labor Day into my job's parking lot at about 7:00AM when some old guy blew a red light and an accident had occurred. Luckily I had witnesses who had told the police that I had a green left arrow and the guy did run a red light. My car was totaled while his just needed a new fender panel and perhaps a new alignment. Guy never asked if I was Okay, all he said was "Oh you were the guy who hit me" and he was more worried making his Senior Softball game at the park the next town over. Needless to say I was devastated since I put all my hard work into purchasing this car and the next day was my first day of college.
A couple of months later I found a classified for the Mustang and thought about it and talked it over with my dad (since he does help with insurance wise) and I looked at it and so did my dad and we decided to take it home (it was actually a stone's throw from my home). So again I was able to pay for nearly all of it and my dad would help out with insurance. I still feel bad I can't help contribute to insurance payments, but at the same time I've worked since I was 16 at the same place and I'm going to school so it is hard for me.
The car had been sitting all winter. A young kid owned it and wanted a Celica instead so he was selling it. The father I think just wanted it off his driveway. The guy gave us a good price for it and wrote up a bill of sale for $3500 so that we didn't have to pay as much in taxes which was nice. The car comes from Florida and chances are the first owner was an older man who rarely drove it since the miles were very low for the year.
And day by day I notice more work to be done to it. Nothing major and nothing to worry about. A rust spot, or ding dents and scratches, re tint the windows, a major cleaning. The kid put cigarette holes in the seats and I steam vac-ed the headliner to pull out all the tar.
I've decided to sink money into performance isn't the best right now since it is a V6 and that monies will go to my V8 when I can afford it. So right now I'm making it my own and having fun. Perhaps down the line I'll add a few different mods to it; UDP, Exhaust but it gets me where I need it to get me and thats fine. The K&N Air Filter is probably the only real performance mod I have done to it, if you want to even call it that
Some personal stuff about me: I'm going for MECP certification, which I just have to take the test. I'm in my third year of College, and in the Pharmacology program. After a formal interview (which I'm mostly worried about) things should be nicer and that V8 will be mine in no time. In the mean time I'm waiting to hear back from Nassau and Suffolk PD. I would like to get in and become a PO and make nice money for what they do but they are very selective. I passed up NYPD because currently it is not worth it to join. Civil Service is also there for me to always fall back on. I just want to get out of retail really really bad. What made me get into pharmacology however was drugs. I never did many and nothing crazy but I enjoyed reading up on them so I decided to make it my life. I'm also an Admin over at (Warning: Following link contains subjective content. Pharmaecopia . The site was used to promote the education of other substances and a resource for people to come too. The forum has seen better days.
Other than that, my high school sweetheart of 2 1/2 years broke up with me recently and has left me devastated. But who wants to hear a sob story, right? On better notes I've been a percussionist for about 13 years and a guitarist for 9. I had a band back in Elementary School and the beginning of High School but we all went to different schools and we mostly went our separate ways. For those interested my music can be found here:
Joe O'Rourke, Citizen of ACIDplanet.com. I'll probably eventually repost that since I love my ego to be boosted. I haven't added anything new however. I'm trying to write new material, but don;t have much time.
I guess that's really it. Sorry for such a long introduction. I'm procrastinating and I'm bored, so I typed up my life's story.
By the way I have very dry sarcastic humor. So don;t take offense to anything I say. Either that or toilet humor, and I don't take offense easily.
I'll catch you all later.
