Weird RMP drop

so every now and then when i exit a freeway and depress the clutch pedal and proceed to downshift i notice my RPM drop like crazy sometimes, like to the point my car dies, but it only happend when i have the clutch in. Any ideas why this would occur? haha i should proof read my headings before posting. its ok im dyslixic
