Hey guys,
The '81 fox i picked up a few months back is finally about to get some goodies on her. Right now, I'm debating where to get an engine from. I'm aiming for a Carburated Engine... not efi so I don't have to fool with a computer system, and other little things. I'm aiming for 350-450 hp, nothing to much more but nothing less.
I've found a few places, from a local engine shop, to dss racing, and pro-formance motors.
here's the one I really have in mind as a drop in turn key deal
Ford engines, ford performance engines, 302, 347, crate engines
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as well as any guides I maybe able to follow, for complete restoration. I'm going to finish my outside first, and see how bad the state it is in right now.

You would not be able to live with yourself with the level of chastising, ridicule, and ragging you would receive....not to mention I'd have to permanently take your woman if you did such a blasphemous act.

Don't you already drive a scion?!? Are you trying to drive the nail that much further into the coffin?

Be that as it may, there is still no excuse for putting a GM motor in a ford...

But you did get rid of your mustang for a scion...so...we had to do a pre-emptive intervention to nip any thoughts you inferred with your price comment....

Well, here is my opinion, and that is all it is, but why not buy a block and build it from there up? Imagine the knowledge you would get from the experience? How awesome would it be when people are oogling over the engine, and you can tell them, with honest, truthful pride, that you built that with your own two hands. I happen to know someone trying to unload a 5.0 block.
