I'm not sure that that had as much to with power/torque as it did with the A$$holes behind the wheels...Neither of those vehicles have particularly high power/torque; It has more to do with the skidmarks driving them than it does with the power that they may or may not be making... ... but I do agree, some cars are "too much" for the street...especially in the context of street racing and showing off...

Ah...that second one is pretty old. I thought there was going to be some strong cars in those vids though. You can't be creating titles like this for viewing so early in the morning.

If you start banning cars because they're too powerful, it's only a matter of time before the government starts banning carmakers from making Vipers or Z06s or GT500s. Then it's all 'vettes. Then it's all Mustangs and Camaros. Then it's everything over 300 horse. Then it's everything over 200 horse. Then we're all driving solar powered sewing machines.

Those will get banned too because they will claim with the depleting o-zone layer, the sun's rays are getting too strong and generating too much power for the streets...

it will probably come down to it. if the government had its way, we would all drive 35hp white corolla's and civics.

The second one is the one where the kid launches hard in the street, loses control, stays in it, drives over the embankment on the side of the street and into a parking lot...ultimately driving into the side of another dudes car...all with a full audience in the parking lot.

No your wrong, those cars are fast. Their fast because their light, and they also produce high HP and Torque #'s. They probably had nos too. Those fellows were good drives, they just underestimated how truly unstreeable their cars are.
