Radiator Cap Question

All of my vehicles (1993 or older) have had metal radiator caps. This Cobra has a plastic one. How do I know if it is tight enough. If I tighten it too far, it just ends up real loose again. I know this is a dumb question but I am trying to track down a little coolant leak and it looks like it is coming from this cap or the bigger hose directly below this cap. Thanks

I'd just buy a new cap can't remember if the caps need to be 16 or 18 PSI

Got one today from Ford for $8.00 and it tightens much better. It starts clicking when it is tight where the original one just loosened again. More Dumb plastic Crap! Now, I picked up a nail in the front tire and after that is resolved I can try a couple of 1-2-3 pulls on some freeway on ramps. Thanks
