Blown V6

Well after it taking forever to get everything situated finally got my blown v6 together, i have a 6 psi powerdyne kit that has been custom fabbed by my brother my dad and myself. This has a high flow cat as well as a complete 3 inch slp loudmouth exhaust, with a bunch of other little goodies i dont feel like listing. The first vid is simply of the car running just after we got the supercharger on with the old exhaust, the outlet tubing isnt even on the throttle body yet in that one, the last two are short clips of it running with the new exhaust on and SC. Disregard my beagle yelping at the beginning of the second one. The little revs you hear in the second are me tapping the gas as lightly as possible, without and FMU the car would run lean if I gave it anymore gas, this exhaust is LOUD. will have some driving videos next week after we wrap up installing the FMU and boost gauge tommarrow. Its been forever since ive been on this site, looks good as its always been on here nice job with the site brent.

nope havent done any tuning yet with it, I have HPTuners which runs through a laptop (I cannot recall if mustangs use this at all?) this is very very good for getting a lot of tuning done, I will be tinkering with that when it is all wrapped up, but not much should need to be changed right now until i up to 9psi next summer. I will be also putting in some 3.73 gears, im just waiting to find the correct posi carrier to put into my car because I was screwed over by a seller. I already have the gears though.

people with very similiar setups have shown 275-280 rwhp, once I get a cam and fuel upgrades next year I should be in the 320 range.

lol yea, that definately gives him an edge, i cannot recall is his an auto or manual? and does he have different gears? those would play a role too. I always liked the turbo mustang, i was gonna do that originally, but there are just too many stangs around here for my liking.

Auto and stock gears. Stock or 3:55 are all I would do for a turbo car. Super though....3:73's baby.

drove it around a bit today to my classes and work, sure was a blast to drive...for a while. I was on my way home and the reduced engine power light came on as well as check engine soon. I had my eye on the air fuel gauge all day and it is just seeming way to lean, that is probably the culprit, gonna have to hook up hptuners and mess with some stuff to see if we can get that issue resolved, the FMU better be doing its job..

well a bit of an update for those who care, switched the muffler in the loudmouth to a twister muffler to give it a better tone and a bit less annoying. In addition I purchased 38# injectors to solve the fuel issues. Turns out the engine went into safe mode because the tuning settings were set wrong and the incoming air flow was tuned for way too low. Towards the end of last fall it was getting dialed in realll nice, almost impossible to take off from a dig without a one tire fire, even from a 30mph roll the tire would break lose. I have 3.73s and posi that will be going in while the car is in storage for the winter here. Dyno numbers and track times coming next spring
