Guys, I am starting a list of planned mods for the winter/early spring, and I have been trying to do some research, but am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed.
Here are my plans:
Finish my brake upgrades by converting to cobra brakes up front, with stainless lines, and going to 96GT brakes in the rear - will also get booster and MC from a 96 V6
replacing my stock Front LCA's to 96 GT's, to get back some -camber
either tokico Illumina or D-spec struts/shocks
Mach1 Springs - will probably upgrade to H&R Race springs later next year
MM Caster/camber plates
urethane bushings all around (maybe)
I am also considering going to an sn95 rearend, hoping to even out my track front/rear since im adding the longer control arms
Am i going in the right direction? Is there anything that i should do differently?
The reason that i am going to the mach springs is that i want to increase my spring rates gradually, seeing the difference it makes, and going in steps to get the car to turn like i want, but not rattle my teeth out on these terrible MS Roads.
How much different will my track be with the addition of the SN95 control arms and rearend? Ive been reading, but cant find a place that says whether they will be closer to even, or worse than i already have now, with the 96 spindles/brakes.
Last thing - I plan on going to some 99 Cobra wheels next spring as well - I plan on rolling the fenders, to allow for more space with the tires, as well as flipping the quads to allow me to run more tire out back on the street (275's). Is there anything else i am missing that i will need to do to allow me to run 245F/275R width tires? Would i be better off keeping the stock rearend if i go with the 17x9's?
The car sees semi-regular autocross duty, with a couple days a week driving, if that helps.
