So sent out my xbox 360 to get fixed. Took about 4 weeks, they sent me back another system with a different serial number. Just wanted to see if anyone else went threw this, was really hoping to get my original system back since it was pretty much brand new and barely used., not someone elses. I got 1 month free Live though

yea just went through this about a month ago or so. look at the back around the serial numbers and see when the manufacture date is. if its recent, you know it isnt refurbished. the one they sent back to me had a date of about a week prior to me recieving it. you want a new one, they have the newest processors in them.

lol pretty much not.
360 vs PS3, its like choosing between a douche and a turd sandwich.
either pick a system that has games but might break leaving you with games and no way of playing them, or a system that is awesome performance wise, but has no games worth buying.
PC FTW. Specs are awesome, and games are free. If a piece breaks, send it back to newegg and get a new one within half a week.

No games worth buying YET. You're forgetting the blue ray player on it too. I heard price on the PS3 might dip down again for Xmas.
But yes, PC FTW no matter what.

Eh on BluRay. IMO both BR/HD-DVD are going to be short lived, the bigger picture beind Direct2Download, especially when the HTPC trend explodes like i think it will shortly. want a new movie? download it in 5 minutes, half the time it takes to even buy it. Plus from what i hear, they want 1gb/s downloads by 2010 and up to 100gb/s by 2015 (i totally forget where i read that but supposedly Japan laughs at our measly connections, like comparing dial up to T1). supposedly the FCC or whoever got 100 billion and was obligated to at least 1gb/s residential by 2007 or 2008 and they failed but got an extension to 2010. right now the best in my area is 6mbps, and i was downloading at 450kb/s the other night and holy shit was that amazing, grabbed Transformers in about 10 minutes (4gb iirc)

I like PC over console, I always loved PS and PS2, wish I didnt get 360 lol!

I enjoy playing my Wii however, I like playing my PS3 more. No the PS3 doesn't have the library of games like the 360 has but it does have some good games. Resistance is a good game, Lair, and the Darkness are all good games to play. I havent bought all that many games for it yet though. I have
Resistance:Fall of Man
Lair
The Darkness
Madden 08
NHL 08
Tiger Woods 08
Nascar 08
Guitar Hero III (oh yeah I was there at midnight last night getting it haha)
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Tony Hawk: Project 8
So yeah, half my games are Mulit Platform, and I dont have as big of a selection, but you know what, At least I dont have to mail mine off for repair. (or should I say a "new" refurb unit)
Now I might be getting a 360 in the next couple months. 200 bucks for the mid level one and 5 games....buddy has not been happy with it, rather get a PS3. I only want it for Halo 3.
but that is my opinon. I have always been a PS fan....I bought my Xbox 2 years after it came out on ebay for 50 bucks with a couple games..just for Halo and lan parties...bout the only thing that is good for..hell mine is not even hook up anymore. it is about to get retired to the closet with my N64 and dreamcast....Just keep my PS3, Wii, and NES out.
oh yeah...I have built in HD...no buying more shit so I can hook it up to my HDTV...HDMI already there. And the Blue-ray movies look great.
