I have Pinnacle Studio 11 and I'm making a DVD for my dad, it has the full season 1 of Duckman. He loved that show, so I found it for him and I'm burning it for him. It's taking a full day to burn. I started it yesterday afternoon and it's almost done with the 2nd to last episode. I've got a 20X speed DVD burner, I don't think this is right.. or is it? Like I said, it's my first DVD burner so I don't know. Maybe I need to look at the speeds I set it at or something. Then again it's also compressing these large files into a dvd. Just 2 episodes is almost 700 MB.. So you tell me, help?

lol, definitly not. I burn a movie dvd in about an hour and 15 minutes, and thats ripping it, running it through a clean up program, shrinking it to fit the dvd and then burning it.

Yep, I can put about 100 400-600 MB files on a DVR in about 1 hour or so.

Ok I think I know what happened, the settings were defaulted on the lowest setting. I went back and I am reburning this DVD to see the speed difference.. but it still seems slow.

and make sure your pc isnt bogged down from other programs running. that will slow the speed down as well. and some discs can only be written on in a limited speed.

I swear to god I did! I'm going to try some other videos and see what the hell is up, otherwise I'm going to be pretty angry.

Alright it came with Nero 6, I'll try it out. I think it was just what I was burning or something. Tried burning 11 files, in total they are 3.36 GB. I burned a regular movie and it went pretty fast, I guess it was just the whole process of encoding the video onto the DVD that was probably making it slow.

when i've burned full DV quality movies from adobe that are ~20 minutes long, it takes probably 12 hours with nothing else running. That's having like 25 GB of raw footage and using 20 minutes of it that is mixed with a lot of sound files added too and rendering it, and burning the 20 minutes onto the dvd...sooooo, i doubt it should take that long for what you're doing, but give it time if it's something huge
