Intake 3.8 vs 4.2

I was helping a friend work on his F150 with the 4.2 and noticed the intake is slightly different than the 3.8. Does either intake have an advantage over the other?

its just taller. it helps the F150 make a little more torque (longer runners = more torque) it wont fit under the stock mustang hood, thats why people use the 99+ split port upper

no, it doesnt make much more tq. maybe a couple pounds. it would be cheaper to keep the stock hood and use mustang upper. plus, the hoses and electrical connections are not the same. so it would be more work to make it fit, then use the stock upper and stock hood
