From lake george...about 350 miles. Although, we could take route 2 there, and then route 1 back and get the best of both routes.

Rob,
how many people you have as definites?
Knowing I 99% chance wont' have my cobra by then, Katie usually has to piss every 5 minutes and what not, it maybe better for she and I to fly. We can fly up there to Buffalo, or Albany. Whichever would be a better route to take. Either rent a vehicle then, or schedule for a pick up. For flight going is like 130-200 and ditto coming back, so its not to bad. It's still cheaper than the Disney vacation we were going to do in a month. If we have the hotel for 3 nights and what not, any idea of other hotels to go to, or just drive, pick and choose?
Nate, do you need financial help? I'm sure I can help send money your way if needed for you to go, bro.
*Hmmm wonder if I can rent a Hertz GT lol*

You can't rent a car, you aren't 25...
As for hotels, by this time, all of them in the area are full. Once they start taking reservations, they are filled up.
As for the pissing, if she can't hold it for 4-5 hours between fillups...then she has issues.
And no, Buffalo hertz does not rent the GT.
Ok, what other dream of yours can I crush today.

Haha,
No dream crushing was more spur of the moment deals I was construing.
Well, on good note, flight there and back is total 500 dollars. Compared to what I found the other day, was 1300 dollars haha.
Well,
If we do fly there (looks more like that is the option we take), what day are you going to be in New York? The plane flights I chose was Sept. 1st - 7th. Let me know if I need to change the dates on that. If it looks like we will get there way before or something, we can always catch taxi here and there or what not.

Thought it was 21 to rent a car?
Young And Free
Most agencies will have a non-negotiable minimum age requirement of 25. Younger drivers (usually 18 to 24) will be subject to a younger driver surcharge. Even if you do meet the age requirement, some agencies will even have an upper age requirement for certain vehicles (eg. you must beat least 30 yrs old to rent an Audi TT from Hertz).
The surcharge through Budget Rentals for 21-24 age, is 140 dollars tacked on. So 400 dollars for a vehicle for the week, with unlimited miles to put on. So not to bad.

That could work out good then. We'll fly up there and be there for the 1st. Fly back and be home on the 7th. Okay, so I have transportation worked out. Looking at 1000 dollars there. Now, about hotel. I believe you said hotel was available.... the 4-7th? or am I wrong on that one. And if we packing 4 to a room, 90 bux roughly per person. So thats 180 for me. And if we don't have enough people going, I'll take the other room.
And for Food.... are we eating fancy or golden arches and bk lounge sound up the alley?
Just trying to base my moneys here so I can start booking and paying.

There really aren't any fancy places there. There are a lot of nice water side restaurants, but the most expensive place we would eat is around $15 per person...maybe $20 if you go extravagant.
While in the buffalo area, we would just wing it...they have the same kind of restaurants there as they have here...Applebees, Ruby Tuesdays, etc...so it wouldn't be much there either.
The hotel is set. I already paid the $224 deposit for both rooms, so they are set in stone. Right now, with you and Katie, there are only 5 people going, and Chissy is actually a big maybe right now. The room rate was posted a while back at like 111 a night...so just plan on that right now...and if more people come, it will come out less.
Also, it will cost you $8 each to get into the car show for both days. It is a one time $8 fee...gets you in both days.
