well started stripping the 85 last weekend, got the engine bay pretty much empty of the blown 302 in it. Still have to finish taking out the wiring since it was a cfi car, all the brake stuff with the windshield wiper arms an what not under the cowl. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I will only have the front suspension to look at in the engine bay.
Found some serious rust covered up in the roof skin so I have to patch that back up whenever I get a chance to start cutting new metal for it. Hoping to goto the junkyard this weekend to find a good roof from another car to use for parts to patch it with.
Scored a nice rust free hatch off a 79-82 hatchback with the ducktail spoiler for $40 I have to throw on. Mine was fine but those spoilers are sweet looking haha.
For the motor I will be using a 351W stroked to 408 with a set of brodix T1 heads, Edel Intake and a mild cam. Putting that to the ground will be through a new C4 with reverse manual VB and a 3000 stall. In the rear there is a '01 GT rear with a eaton posi and 3:73's but Those axles have to come out so I can get fox length ones.
I have ALOT to do but will keep up on progress, now I need to make up a todo list so I dont get overwhelmed. No pics as of yet but its nothing to look at right now I can get some later if anyone wants to see how far its ripped apart though lol. going out to the garage now to take the fenders and bumper cover off so I can start stripping the engine bay of paint once everything is out.
