eBay Motors: Ford : F-150 (item 200159727311 end time Oct-24-07 16:36:24 PDT)
It's a `05 F150 FX4 extended cab flareside.
Everyone had been telling me they didn't think all that came in one package. IE you couldn't get an FX4 in a flareside, or you couldn't get a flareside in anything other than regular cabs etc...the color and interior is entirely optional to me. The above is what I want at a minimum.
This makes me happy.

Flareside's are ugly IMO, not to mention the lost cargo space. When I owned my Ranger, I hated the stepside so bad that I traded the stepside bed, with a camper top that matched my buddys truck already for a regular bed that I had to repaint. It was completely worth the effort and money.

I really like Flaresides. That's one thing I wasn't going to cave on. I'm still willing to go with a SXT (or STX whichever it is) as a 4x4 just to make sure I can get the stepside bed.

STX is right. Good choice. It's possibly going to be my next truck I get. I will need something to tow the explorer around with

Hah! Frick! I didn't even notice but sure enough. I remember you had gotten one fairly recently, but had totally forgotten what it came with.

With the way I plan on building it I wont want to drive it more then short trips on the road. Of course thats even if I keep it street legal. Not to mention I'll be lucky if it gets 5mpg after the buildup lol. The smallest tires that will be on it will be 35's. I plan on later swapping in fullsize axles and running 40's probably.

My explorer will be built better and stronger then your jeep could ever dream of being. Not to mention it'll be able to hit bigger and tougher trails then your mall rated jeep Oh yeah and if it gets a dent or scratch. Who cares? Doubt you feel that way about your 13k jeep. Which btw I have 1600 into my explorer so far and at most might spend around 5-6k to get it to where I want. I'd say thats a bit cheaper....

35's are over rated, all you need is a solid set of sliders to bang against
And, dents and scratches are all just part of the game.
Good luck building locked, geared, and alloyed one tons to handle the 40's for $3k (40" Goodyear MTR's will cost you over $2k by themselves).

You must not know me. I could give two shits about body damage. Plus, I can go topless, and be a very capable rig and still drive it on the street. I will follow you on 33s wherever you take your 40s, so you have someone to pull you out when you get stuck.
