Ok guys I was driving my car the other day and every time I turn right I hear a click click click........... until i start going straight again. I got underneath the car and checked to be sure everything was tight and it was. I am stumped on this. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

where does the noise come from the front or rear? Do you have after market rims/tires or wider than stock?

it is coming from the front and yes I do have after market wheels and tires and both are wider than stock but I had never noticed it before. It just started and I have had them on for about 3 months.

if it was power steering why would it do it only when I turned right? I didn't think about it but it may have been because I had a carload of guys. That may have caused the clicking due to the over width tires plus the extra weight on the suspension. I haven't driven it since then. Hopefully it won't start up again when I head home tomorrow. If you have anymore ideas let me know. Thanks

What is the best way to check those? I got under the car and was pulling and pushing on everything making sure everything was solid. I didn't think about it until now should I have jacked up the front end to take all the weight off then checked everything?

when I had 17x9 wide rims with 275/40/17 tires on my 97 and 01 if I turned to tight I would bump the front sway bar and make such a noise. You can turn the wheel all the way and see if it touches or is very close to anything~ remember while turning there is more force on the side your turning from if you are going a modest speed so the car will be lower on that side as well.

the backspacing of the rims also plays a role in if it will rub, my 17x9s had a 5.95 backspacing.

Jack the front end up and pull on the tires. If they move, theres your problem.

well I drove it 100 miles home this weekend no problems at all. I think it was just the combination of the weight and my aggressive driving. Thanks for your help.
