anyone get their manifold extrude honed? Would I get better results than a P and P job? Extrude has proven 20% more airflow.
I suppose getting a p&p manifold then extrude honed would be best.

why do both? if you wanted it honed get it honed, dont pay for portin gand then get it honed.
I dont think youd see any worthwhile gains on an N/A car unless you had a 4.2/3 beast.
I *could* see it worthwhile on a blown app. but I dont think any v6 has done it yet.

dont port first. extrude honing gets it ported enough. next, only extrude the upper if you want. its very expensive, plus the stock upper flows well enough. you would see like 5-7rwhp total on an extrude honed job.
get a good ported lower and heads, and those will get you more gains

They way I do it:
If a customer wants Extrude Hone, I will do that for them and
do my hand porting extras for the same price it would cost
from them, ($480) and you would have an RGR spec/Ex. Hone
upper that had more hand porting than Extrude hone does and
RGR specs on the rest of it. I have done it, but we had them hone
it again cuz the long runners were NOT very well done, not even as
good as hand porting so the re-did it no charge. I also did the first
94-98 upper thru them, it came out geat the first time. The customer
did not get dyno results AFAIK, (for the 99) but the 98 guy said it really
helped ALOT over a stock upper! He was quite pleased, it was the only mod
in his comparison, definite gain on the Butt-Dyno He said it felt like
15-20 HP... who knows?

So EH + Hand porting is the ticket.
If U get EH thru me I add in the hand porting
no extra charge. It's just as if I worked there
and did the proper porting then EH'ed it!

What would happen if you took a 2000+ intake and put big cylindrical
chambers on the sides like that intake? It looked like a realy good intake.

Larger TB :-o
I was looking at that cougar head, and I thought "ram air".
BTW you have a split port p&p ready to go? I've been trying to get an extra core for you, I can get a non split for you off ebay, but I don't know if you care which type you get back. I'd like to get it powedercoat too, don't know if you do gold powdercoat. I have a 2000 in the gold, and I figured it'd be pimp to have a gold manifold.

I gots a shiny SPI upper, mostly polished, needs ported, but of course you have
a take-off manifold that would be the core. I need same type back, unless
someone with single port want to send splitters as cores
I can get gold powdercoat, but it's gonna be $200 more than just the porting...
if we want to do a GP on gold powdercoat I can reduce the price some.
Get a whole rack and I can do it for 100 each, but that would be like
12 people or more... well, maybe I can do it with less, ask around!
I have an industrial powdercoat shop I deal with, I'll make a post on
Gen board I guess. If U are really interested! Actually, here is best,
it is for engine parts so engine board is fine.

Awesome. I just had back surgery done, and it's snowing. I will have to see when I can get it off the car. It sounds easy changing the gaskets and sending the core back, but on a hill, in the winter...
If you have phenolics too, and the bolts I need I would do that too.
The correct bolt length is what scares me, I hear all sorts of people not finding the right bolts.
I'm going to start selling some extra stuff and get ready to do this.
This is going to be so much fun.
Can you do a custom RGR manifold badging?

I was thinking of that for my post-removed SPI uppers...
I put a plate over the holes instead of welding in plugs
