I have a problem with a 1994 mustang with the air vents in the car. It only blows the air through the floor and defrost setting and not the vent setting when switched to it. Any ideas what the problems is? Thanks.

Check the condition of the vacuum lines at the selector switch (pull the dash faceplate off, and from there its 2-4 screws..) That's a good place to start... I don't have a vacuum diagram with me but if you pull the connector out for the vacuum lines, you should have a black one with vacuum when the engine's on...... it could just be a switch...

While your in there see what you can see, listen around for any vacuum leaks... check the vacuum lines under the hood

Your Mustang May Be Like My 96 Mine Would Only Blow Own The Defrost No Matter What Setting You Had It Own. The Vacuum Pump Is Under Te Passenger Side Dash. Just Take The Glove Box Out Really Easy And You Will Be Able To See If There Are Mssing Wires Dont Go Shoving Through All The Wires And Disconnect Any But Mine I Just Say Where It Came Unplugged And Plugged It Back Up And Electric Taped It. Really Simple But If It Works Then Your Vacuum Pump Just Isnt Sending It To The Right Pplace Which Is A Lose Wire. Somewhere.
