and i need some help
i'm getting the chrome roush wheels (real roush, no replicas)
front will be 18x9, rear will be 18x10
first off--
will i need spacers for these wheels?
secondly, what are the best tires and best size for these? (cost is not an issue--i want something thats gonna protect them from curb-rash)
third--with the larger wheels, is recalibration of the speedo necessary?
sorry i'm clueless lol

You should be fine 18x10's shouldnt have any clearence issues at all. What size tire are you going to be running on these? figure out what size tire you are going to run and compare the height with your current tire. Post up current and new tire size and I'll let you know!

you would basically have to go with a 275/35/18 in order to not make any changes (this is rear tire size)... but if you have a handheld programmer you can change it for whater size tire you get.

whether or not you need spacers or have any rubbing issues will depend on the offset of the wheels...

also, i would suggest wider than a 275 on a 10" wheel...that's a bit on the small side...I have 285's on a 10" wheel, and most of the guys on here will say you need anywhere from a 295 to a 325 on a 10" wheel depending on the application...

275 in the rear would be a bad bad idea....brad, you missed half her post I think. She is going to run 10" rims in the back...275 would not work at all.
You need to go at least 295 out back, you might could get away with a 285, but just do 295 or 305 and be done with it. This will offer the best curb protection.
I forgot what sidewall height the 295s and 305s come in...but I believe it is around a 30....which would pretty much be fine for your speedo. I think we have a wheel size calc on the site...so you could check out the differences with that.

295/30/18 would probably be the best choice, but it will be a bit shorter of a tire throwing your mph off slightly unless you adjust for it.

By the way Nicole...do you have an X-Cal already? If you do, correcting is nothing more than inputting the new tire height and storing the change.

i agree, 275 isnt the best choice but it will fit nonetheless...
275/35ZR18
Load Index 95 = 1521lbs (690kg) per tire
Speed Rating “Y” = 186mph (300kph) 95Y SL Treadwear: 300
Traction: AA
Temperature: A300 AA A
1521 lbs.
51 psi
10/32"
28 lbs. 9-11"
9.5"
10.9"
NA
25.6"
814
295/35ZR18
Load Index 99 = 1709lbs (775kg) per tire
Speed Rating “Y” = 186mph (300kph) 99Y SL Treadwear: 300
Traction: AA
Temperature: A300 AA A
1709 lbs.
51 psi
10/32"
31 lbs. 10-11.5"
10.5"
11.9"
NA
26.1"
798
those numbers are for BFG KDW's... Height on 275/40/17 is 25.6" The 295's are only a half inch taller but you will see a difference on your speedo....

They will only fit if your name is Cody and you want to have your tires stretched out on the rim like both the black gt and white saleen. And have no curb protection.

Goodyear GS-D3 would probably be a good tire choice. People seem to really like these tires, even though I have no personal experiance with them.
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
These are what the Roush Mustangs come stock with. 295's rear, 265's front.
They work pretty good in the dry but suck in the rain. I used them the whole time I had my Roush.

Nitto Street Radials have always worked for me. When I had the GT, they were great in the rain and the dry.
As for the snow, a 10" wheel is going to suck donkey balls in the snow....you will want some different, narrower, rims for the snow.
