I checked out the Ford Racing website and they are coming out with an FR1 power upgrade package for the V6, including Cat-Back dual exhaust, cold air intake, oil filter and performance calibration. Anyway, I was just curious if any of you knew the HP increase I can expect?

I agree, besides the money I would spend on the upgrade might be better used to trade in for a GT, of course with gas prices going up I dont think that is such a good idea either.

With the way I drive I wasted 1/4 of a tank on a GT test drive on a 10 mile stretch, dont get me wrong I love the power, but I just cant afford filling up 4 times a week, hence the reason I got the V6, besides, I F'in hate rice burners. My goal is to get a Shelby one day and not have to worry about flacking the tires or filling up, but for now my V6 is my baby, so bare with me.

I get better gas mileage with my 5-sp GT than I did with my auto v6. I know the transmission helps a lot but it was a nice surprise when I upgraded.

Im in the city so a manual V6 was not an option. Now if I had a GT, then you better believe it would be manual. But I see your point Green, manuals always get better gas ml, depending on the driver of course. So anyway, this is my first Stang, since I've had SUVs my whole life, so yall give me some tips on how to improve power.

I too live in the city, mine is a 5 speed, the mileage difference is nuts tho.. i get about 18 mpg in the city, but I drive from Dallas to Houston once a month, and I have gotten as high as 30 mpg, and that was 252 miles on 8.3 gallons!!
