I'd never even seen it spelled as "y'all" until recently. I've always spelled it "ya'll"...

it is short for you all...there for it has to be y'all....
it can't be ya'll...even though I think everyone south of the mason dixon spell it that way...if it was right...then it would be short for ya all...and that wouldn't make sense at all... |

its y'all.
like he said , You All, since you pronounce the entire "All" part, and only skip the "ou" to avoid makeing a full "You" pronunciation. Thus "Y'all".

Ill take a Coke also, and last month i went from sayin you all to "You's guys" to Y'all-ya'll when i was in NYC then to TN haha.
