It appears that VT is on the way out. They were bought out back in april and split into two companies I guess. VT is no nothing more than a sales office with no shop. All work is outsourced and they are not paying for the work. Several completed motors are sitting at the builder awaiting payment from VT before getting shipped. VT collected the money for them months ago (in some cases as far back as january)...yet they have not paid their bills.
Major Issues with VT Engines - ModularFords.com
The above thread was started by a soldier that put his build on hold when he was sent to afghanistan...when he returned he had to cancel it due to financial issues, but can not get his parts that hadn't be touched due to the hold nor get a refund.
While, I agree the two salemen Jim and Scott are getting a lot of heat (Scott has since quit and it appears Jim is out soon)....this thread is a must read if you are looking for a VT motor. I'm glad I found it as VT was one of the two builders I was considering. I did not realize they no longer did their own work.
If you are looking to get a built motor, a great alternative is Boss330 Racing...run by Al Papitito (sp?). You can buy through them or check out Lethal Performance as they are an authorized vendor and will handle all of the leg work for you.

I guess what happened was they sold all their shop equipment to some dude who took over the shop and called it VTCED (VT Competition Engine Development). It still has the same employees and everything, just named something different and is a separate entity from VT Engines now.
VT Engines remained in business as an office with 2 salesman (Jim and Scott) and an owner (Chris). Well, Chris doesn't participate in the business hardly at all. He has not been seen in the office in nearly a year. Doesn't return calls/emails. And is obviously not paying the bills. When a refund was offered to a customer, they asked if he would accept monthly payments instead of a full refund. This sounds to me like Chris has drained the account of all pre-paid monies....like he is done and is on his way out. Bankruptcy will get him out of everything as it is incorporated so his money is safe.

It sounds like that is what some are doing...VT Engines is trying to lay the blame on VTCED however VTCED jumped into the thread and said they are not shipping anything until they get paid....so it sounds like it is just blame shifting on VT's part.
