They were talking about Sean Taylor passing on ESPN just a little while ago. For those of you that don't know, he was apparently killed by an assailaint that broke into his house. I heard something horribly disturbing...
This worthless piece of shit made a big discussion about how the NFL made a big point for the players not to have guns. WTF? He was killed by an intruder. In his own house. It sounds to me like he would have been better off having a whole damn housefull of guns and people that knew how to use them. Perhaps, from here on out, the NFL will encourage personal gun ownership.

I would think, as high profile as NFL players are, that it would make sense to have protection of that kind. It blows my mind that they encourage them not to have them. I understand how they can be concerned because there are definitely some thugs in the NFL, but still. I was not aware that they encouraged them not to. How stupid.

but i agree.. its definitely overly controlling. whats next? they arent allowed to listen to rap and watch rated R movies?

Sean Taylor was on probation for a gun related offense. Thus, he can't own firearms, or have them in his house.
I think it was something to do with some sort of assault that he had a gun on him or something like that.
The rest of the story is that he had a machete (spelling) in his hand when he went to meet the person who broke into his house... when the guy broke in his (I think) bedroom door and shot, missed, and then shot and hit him in the leg... then he ran out.

We're not allowed to have guns in the military either. We have to fight with sticks and stones now. Occasionly i'll throw a rash insult at my enemies and that nearly kills them every time.
