putting in a v8

hey everybody i joined tonight. i just bought a 2002 mustang with the 3.8 v6. i put duel exhaust and a cold air intake on it. im the military and in about 6 months will have alot of money saved up and i was thinking wanting to put a v8 into it but i dont want to put the normal 4.6 in it. i was thinking about putting if i could a 302 or 347 small block into it. i was just wondering if that was at all possible. also if i kept the v6 would it be better to twin turbo, turbo, or supercharger it? also what are some other mods i could do and what are the name brands to get? thank you for any help!!!!

welcome semperfi! glad to see you chose to pick a mustang over the cars that you could have chosen...

As far as mods, what I'd recommend you do is check out the 3.8 section of the board, and try to learn as much as you can from lurking, and researching about different setups and such to see what combo will get you whatever you desire in the car. Those guys (least the one that I know) tend to be reaaalllly helpful, and will point you in a direction if need be.

Welcome to the site, if you look in the 3.8 section you will see a thread about how to mod a mustang from the start. I'd recommend reading through that before you get too far.

If it was me I would sell the car and buy a v8... its cheaper and better in the long run.

spector V is correct, unless it is already a FOX platform car or your building it class specific I would not attempt an engine swap, your car will be down for a very long time.
