It's always going to sound like a v6, however, the cobra mufflers will keep it a little deeper. Minimal drone inside the car as well.

It will sound better but not much better. I would take the catback regardless if you use it or not. They go for 100 bucks or so usually~

Well the guy will bring for me tomorrow. But now he wants $20. I am going to take the deal but my local "resources" tell me the cobra exhaust from a 97 wont fit my 94 6er. I called BS on him because I know they bodies are all the same.
Am I right or will they not fit???

well it wont bolt up if thats what you mean. you have a Y pipe he has an H pipe. You will have to modify the exhaust but the rest should be fine minus needing some exhaust hangers.

Well I would have a shop put some sort of custom piping in to connect my cats to his exhaust or something. just to make it true dual. I have brakets already, why would I need more?

youd need more because its a different pipe with more tubing and thus more brackets are needed

most just chop off the Y before the two pipes from the headers connect together. Then they weld in an adaptor so the GT catback can be welded in. Some companies make an adapter pipe. Its the best way to go so you can unbolt the exhaust to work on crap~ might cost more but its the best way.
