 Well, something let go on the way into work this morning. Gonna get it checked out this afternoon after work, but it feels and sounds like either the pilot bearing, throw out bearing, or the throw out bearing retainer sleeve has split. I can still get the car in gear and drive, but there is a killer clunking sound at idle whether the clutch is depressed or not. You can hear it clearly over the radio and everything.
I'm kind of hoping it is only the TOB, as that is a quick, simple, and cheap fix. The TOB sleeve isn't too hard to fix either, just costs a good bit for the one I should get....pilot bearing, I'm not sure about. If it is the TOB, this is the 3rd one I have broke in the last 3 years.  The stocker, the SPEC upgraded, and the Ford Upgraded will have all failed me.
But anyhow.... broke something.

I broke something today as well...apparently one of my wheels decided to explode. The tire is perfectly fine...the inside lip of the wheel though..well...that's gone. Put a nice hole in my fender well and beat up the underside of the car.

im actually with the woman tonight which means i drive which means no drinkey. it is however kinda hard to lose something you never had in the first place.

IT is confirmed...the TOB is not in a happy state right now...
GUess that 26 spline shaft and new clutch will definitely need to come after the new year now. |

Well, I currently have the Spec 3...as you probably know. I was toying with the idea of going with the Spec 3+...and haven't ruled that out as an option yet...but I believe I am going to go with the 900 ft/lb Spec twin disc...
So, so far, Spec Twin Disc (the level 1 version basically).....
