Well, there isn't a specific section for the car that I am looking at getting, but it is a fox-body Mustang...Since there is no section dedicated to this particular model and power-plant, I am just going to post it here in the 5.0 section, and if it needs to be moved, so be it
Anyway, back to my point; There is a particular model Fox-body Mustang that I have wanted for several years now. They have become more and more rare over the years that I was kinda meh on actually finding one without traveling some great distance to find one...
Well, I accidentally stumbled across the exact car that I have wanted for a while now earlier this afternoon at an acquaintances house while attending a MSSCCA board meeting...There it was sitting parked in his driveway under the carport...The car that I am referring to is an all original '86 SVO Mustang...
SVO's are becoming increasingly hard to find I have always wanted one...This one is in pretty good shape, needs a bit of work to it though...It runs great, and the body is freshly painted, no rust at all...The problems are that it needs a completely new exhaust system, new heater core, and new AC Compressor, and the leather on the driver's seat is tearing at the seams...All of these problems are fairly easily fixable (save for the heater core, which I probably wouldnt even bother to fix lol)...It has 75,000 original miles and it is pretty much an all around good car...
I need to talk with the guy some more about it and take it out for a drive at some point in the future, but I am probably looking at spending somewhere in the ballpark of $4-5 thousand for it...SVO's in very poor shape generally go for about $2500ish and ones that are in mind condition go for up around $10 thousand...As I said, the one I found today runs great but it's by no means mint, so I am looking at somewhere in between, closer to the lower end I am hoping, but we shall see...Wish me luck...
