Its hard to say that one of any given product is better than another. There are quite a few very high quality exhaust and intake system. Alot of it is just whats your personally preferance, which brands your favorite, or which do you think sounds the best.
If you want a really high quality exhaust system than I would go with a stainless one. I know Bassani, Magnaflow, and Borla all make ones, but there plenty of other good exhausts out there for Mustangs also.
As far as intakes go JLT, K&N and C&L all make good produce.
I personally would not get a chip but a hand held programmer with a custom tune/tunes. If you do a mail order tune make sure you use a shop with a good rep. I personally am not a fan of a mail order tune and have had bad luck with them. BTW SCT makes the best hand held, but of course you should get whatever your shop you get it tuned at uses.
Also if you have a 5-speed I would recommend a new quick shifter. MGW, Pro-5.0, and Steeda Tri-Ax are all good ones.

I think a hyper tech programer would work well as well as a K&N CAI and Flowmaster exhaust. Those are all products I use and stand behind and have had great result with.

i totally agree with jroc and herb! exhaust wise, everyone is going to have a different opinion based on what they like personally, i love my MagnaFlow catback system and Borla Stingers sound nice and deep if you're looking for a louder exhaust. there are a lot of good ones out there.
exhaust is always the first step, i would definitely get it tuned too.

I have changed my exhaust so much i dont remember what it all sounded like. My favorite would be the o/r x and mac cat back i had. I currently have a o/r h and flowmaster dumped.Im switching soon to dynomax bullets just too try something new.

Well First off I hate MAC...They made alot of stuff I bought for my V6 and it work well for like six months then broke!
For CIA I would recomend BBK or C&L..They make really good relaible prducts. I like the sound of borla the bect but flowmaster is really good as well!
I personally like SCT for tuners and tend to stay away from Diable sport as they tune a little agressive, but really tuners are mostly about personal preference......
