strayed wire

2001 Ford Mustang GT
I am in the process of removing an aftermarket alarm/autostart.
Behind the driver side kick panel there are a bunch of wires.
There is a factory Brown with white stripe wire that was split,
with 1 part connected to one aftermarket wire and the other part
connected to another aftermarket wire. In the process of removing
the aftermarket wires and reconnecting the one half of the brown with
white stripe wire to the other half of the brown with white stripe wire,
I pulled the one half out of its harness. So now I have the brown with
white stripe wire with a metal crimped fitting/pin on the end that came out
of the terminal and no idea which terminal hole it goes into.
There is a long black terminal (closest to the front of the car), then a
small white one next, then a small black one (farthest away from the front
of the car) that this wire fell out of. So I know which terminal it fell
out of but not which blank hole that it goes into.
If any one could let me know then I could stop panicing and be done with
this junk aftermarket alarm/autostart/pain in the butt system and move
on to bigger/better things like a supercharger.
Thanks.

How many wires are in the harness it fell out of. Were there 2 others, Gray/White Stripe and Gray/red striped? Or was it Brown/Light green and Gray/Red?

only the 1 wire fell/got pulled out.
I will get more details when i get home tonight, and post it tomorrow, but i believe the terminal/harness had 2 rows of 5 holes per row (running long ways with the car) but there were only 2 or 3 other wires (no good recollection of colors) plugged into it so that left alot of options as to where the wire originally went.

That's why I mentioned on my 02. He should still check with you with the rev #.

what's your rev number? it's possible that they meet up. It'd be a slight chance, but, if you could take a look when you get a minute.

the rev number should be located on a tag on the harness itself. usually located under a parts #.

Yeah the colors and locations were all the same. I couldn't find a rev number either but, I didn't get a chance to look until it was almost dark though.

i think that is it, somebody on a different forum said the same spot, so im gonna give it a try, i think it is the trunk popper wire (makes sense, it was on the remote for the alarm). He wrote:
Trunk/Hatch Pin brown/white - 12 pin plug, pin 3 at GEM which is where you said.
Thanks
