Ok guys, tonight I hit a Dog the size of a small horse on my way to town. I hit him going about 60 mph. Needless to say my Front Bumper, Hood, Headlights, and grill insert are destroyed. I want some advice as to what to order. I don't wanna go back to stock. I was thinking the Black Euro Clear Headlights, 03-04 Cobra R Bumper and I am not sure which hood yet. I have a 2000 V6, Black. I have Black wheels with a polished lip. I also have the stock white grapics going down the side. I was also thinking of pearl white stripes since I had it in the shop anyway. Give me some feedback. I will get pics up as soon as I can. Thanks!!

If you do go with a 00 Cobra R bumper you will destroy it within 2 months. Instead look at the 99/01 cobra front bumpers or something not too wild that you can build up a good looking base from.

you can get an OEM ford (via ford racing) 99-01 style cobra front or an 03/04 cobra front for under 400 bucks~ they should come with fog lights and everything you need (other than the radiator cover piece and running horse (dont need the full grill delete). That would be the best way to go. The parts fit great and are NOT fiberglass.
dont buy an 03/04 cobra hood (oem fit) without the 03/04 cobra front (it leaves a gap from hood to bumper)
for headlights oem 01+(non chrome ones) look the best

Also, if you go with the 03/04 cobra front bumper and not the 03/04 cobra hood you will have to move the bumper up slightly to fill the gap there.

Trust me I didn't want to hit him. I didn't want to swerve cause the small chance of me putting it in the ditch the insurance wouldn't cover it, and I didn't have much time to react at all. I popped up over the hill and he was right there with the "deer in the headlights" look. Not much I could do other than lock em up.
On the front bumper I am not gonna go with fiberglass. I want poly-urethane our some composite than fits well.
I need some advice on a hood that would go good with pearl white racing stripes. I have a visual in my head of what I want it to look like but I can't picture any hoods other than the stock GT that would look very good. Any help is appreciated.

At least you didn't hit a horse the size of a small dog. It would have scarred you for life to kill such a rare animal.
If it were me... I'd get the 99-01 Cobra front bumper and a nice, subtle hood. Like Spec said, you can get the bumper with everything you need for less than $400. For the hood, maybe something like the Cervini's Heat Extractor.

There is a pic of a yellow mustang with the same hood/bumper combo I am going with. I personally like black the best. But thats my opinion. I am going with the black euro clear headlights too. I think it will really clean up the front and look awesome. But I will post pics of the before and after when i get it done. Insurance guy is supposed to be here wednesday to look at it. Then I can start getting her fixed.

You will scrape that bumper normally driving down the road...don't even try to pull into anywhere or come to any hills

Yeah, decided not to do that lol, don't want a lot of scrapage. I actually decided on the Mach II hood, with a 3 1/2" cowl and the saleen front bumper. Should I go ahead and get the saleen rear too since its in the shop? Or what rear do you guys recommend?

Hey guys, I have another question. Since I am getting an aftermarket hood. I will need hood pins. Does anyone know if the new shelby Billet aluminum hood pins will work? I like the styleing of them but I want to make sure the threads are the same before I order them. Of course I will get the ones that don't say shelby if they will work. Thanks

Well guys, I finally got my mustang back from the body shop, it was an extremely long wait but it was worth it. The paint is immaculate. The guy who worked on my car was really picky and he was a big mustang fan. Here are some pics. If you want I | | |
