hello everyone, im new to the forums, and i came here looking for suggestions!

i bought a 94 v6 in rough shape. its already had a engine swap to a 95 v6 3.8L, and i just replaced the transmission, and now the intake gasket is leaking and my egr tube has a leak, and those are not a fun trip ive learned. i've never torn apart anything but my 3.4 DOHC in my cutlass, so im new to the engine type. my dad rebuilt a 302 roller motor for a customer of his about a year ago, and the guy never came and picked it up, so its mine for grabs. he said it was expected to put out 420hp with the right settings on the top end.

if i were to put the 302 in the car, would i run into any potential transmission problems with all the extra power? i had thought about just doing a shift kit? or should i go through the trouble of cutting out the floor boards and buying a 5 or 6 speed? im looking to supercharge and do fuel injection on the engine, so any suggestions on fuel pump, injectors, and blower kits? trying to end up with 500+/- rwhp.

my main objective for this car is more or less a weekend driver, something to go out and mess with the tuner kids in town.

ok first of all before you think about breaking the tranny(which you will if it really has that kind of power) you will need to swap out alot of the stuff in your car such as suspension, rear end, computer, harnesses, guages, k-member, ect. basically its alot of work that will break your pockets if you dont have the right funds.. do you have a budget for your car? any goals besides the motor swap?

yes, im just putting money in it as i get it. im trying to stay under $10,000. i didnt have any major goals as of yet other than the engine swap. i had assumed that i would be putting in all those extras. im doing all the work myself with the help of my father. so, that gets rid of the labor charge.
