I thought I did my research pretty good when I decided to go with the Bassani SS Race Axle-Back. My boyfriend just installed them last night and they weren't anything like I expected....so those didn't stay on very long. I want LOUDER. I like the SLP's but I don't know if that's going to be too much for me. This is my first Mustang so I'm pretty clueless with alot of this. So what's the next step below SLP Loudmouths? I want a nice deep LOUD sound but not with a whole lot of drone or too obnoxious sounding....My car is all stock so far. 2008 GT. ANY opinions I'd really appreciate it. Even though I KNOW you all hate repeat threads as I saw so many complaints when I was doing my research.......but I don't know much. I hope to learn

To be honest...you could look into buying a new midpipe (x or h pipe) and really change the tone and volume of your exhaust.

Not anymore than buying another catback.

the 05+ gt's dont get nearly as much of a boost in the sound department from axle back kits as the older ones. A whole new exhaust system might be what you are looking for.
My borla cat back is louder than some without cats and a cat back... and I still have my stock exhaust manafolds (aka headers) and H pipe. but I do move more air through mine than most.

Well, welcome to the site and congrats on the GT purchase! I would definitely look into getting a new midpipe (i would go x before h) like lowflyn mentioned and if you want to go with with a whole new catback system, I would definitely recommend Borla Stingers with an new x pipe (off-road x if you want to get a lot more volume). I have the MagnaFlow catback system on my GT (which I LOVE) and as soon as I get an off-road x-pipe or the MagnaPacks, I'll be exactly where I want to be with my exhaust and I personally really love my MagnaFlows if you want to look into those, which it sounds like you would want the MangaPacks. I would definitely ask around here and check into Borla and MagnaFlow as well. Good luck!

Good luck on the Choices. I,ve had my '05 GT for two years now, and still haven't decided on what I want. So I'm in a welding class to build my own.

I like the Pypes Violators model #SFM60VS that I put on my 07 GT. I purchased them from Brenspeed at a very good price. The mufflers and tips are fully polished stainless which look and sound great. I went with the polished mufflers since they are visible from the rear of the car.

If loud mouth is too loud try the loud mouth II. I have that on my car and it doesn't drone very much but still sounds agressive without making you lose you hearing. O yea, i have headers and a catted x-pipe as well.
