Does anyone know if it's possible to have a custom-made sunroof/moonroof (similiar to the ones found in the new '08 Ford Edge) put in a mustang? If so, does anyone know how much it would cost and what kind of shop would do this? I REALLY want one for my '02 GT, ONLY if there isn't a great chance of it leaking.
If anyone knows, please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Yes, you can get a sunroof/moonroof...whichever is not the retracting type...
And It WILL leak eventually.

Do NOT put a sun/moonroof on a car that didnt come with one factory...as rob said, it WILL leak...
and for clarification, it's my understand that the moonroof is the power one that fully retracts/slides back into the roof lining...and a sunroof is strictly the type the pops up in the back...

I really don't want to trade in the GT for a vert. Nothing against verts, I just love the GT and want to keep it. I just reallllly want a sunroof/moonroof like my 2 previous cars had and love the new Ford Edge soooo...
And I'm really not sure there. From what I hear, I guess it's a panaramic sunroof on the Edge, and not a moonroof, which I think slides into the roof of the car like you were saying. Don't take my word for it though, I'm not totally sure on that. I meant one that will slide back on top of the car, not into the roof area.
I definitely don't want any leaks, so it's not sounding hopeful. I would just rather be sure than get one and be sorry after it leaks, which it would be too late, there's no reversing those. lol

they dont fit right on the 94-04 body styles. The roof is curved and the moon roof/sunroof/etc isnt so its flat. It just looks out of place.

well, maybe my next GT will be a convertible then! it's definitely not worth it if it's going to leak, which is sounds pretty likely...so i'm gonna skip that idea. thanks for the input though!
