on the engine I'd suggest either a forced solution and a good block E.G. dart, man-o-war, boss. -OR- i'd go with a 357 cid 8.2" deck, 365 cid 8.2", or some variety of the 9.5 deck stroker... not because of the 450hp, every solution I listed will do that and then some... but the 450 tq will be hard to find. and 450 crank doesn't sound so scary on a 9.5" stocker... thats gonna be close to a time bomb on a 8.2" block stocker.
