Vid of my Cobra's tick...

Finally got around to making a vid of my car's tick. It can't be heard on top of the engine but standing behind the driver's side wheel or the passenger's you can hear it. It's just a little bit louder in person than what the video shows. The car has 9500 miles on it.
If it was head tick, wouldn't I be able to hear it with the hood up on top of the engine around the head? Or no?
Opinions? Thoughts??

Yeah, I've had different opinions on it. One said it sounds like piston slap that would go away but mine doesn't go away so that isn't it.
Another said it was piston damage and could be driven forever but it would continue ticking.
I don't know, it's confusing.

+1 ur fine. a PROGRESSIVELY louder tick would be bad. can barely hear that one.

It's a little more noticeable in person. But just a little bit.
I'll get it figured out. I hope.

for what its worth, I had an identical tick to that in my 02 GT, also louder in person, but sounded identical, louder with hood closed around fernderwell... ford had a TSB (2v head) to replace the cylinder heads... did that, and tick was gone, car was perfect after that...
something about the cam journals causing a tick... but I have no clue if/how it relates to the 4v heads
*edit
Ford also specified that tick was audible/ customer preference only, had nothing to do with longevity of the motor

Strange, it just worked for me.
Yep, you can't hear it with the hood open on top of the engine. But you hear it from the side/under the car. Yours is doing the same thing??
Mine sounds nothing like those vids. Those are a distinct knock where mine is definately a tick.
I just changed the oil about 50 miles prior to the video and used the German Castrol. I tried that first. I know compression isn't down because it dynoed about 1000 miles ago and was right up there with the average for my mods. I have an Amazon custom tune and A/F is an average 11.5-11.7.

do you think trying a ticker/thinner oil would make it more noticable if its an issue with the head (just to try and see if it changes the sound) you might also can get someone to listen to the head while its running to see if it is actually that or not.

Mine has a slight tick but I've associated it with injectors and normal engine noise, doesn't seem very excess. Can't watch the vid here at work but I'll check it out when I get home.

Mine is not audible from the engine bay, but is from the side/under the car. Mine has been diagnosed down to definitive injector pulse.
I tried getting video of it however my camera speaker has a constant reverberation from the exhaust note and you can't hear shit.
If I can find a better camera to get it, I will.

Probably the same think I'm experiencing with mine. It doesn't seem to get any worse or better after driving for a while so who knows. Can't hear it over the exhaust anyway.

Ok the video work this time. In my OP I said that I bet its a big problem, what I ment to say is I bet its not a big problem.
Your car sounds very normal and heathy IMO. These are just noisy cars. If your car is bad then my car is all F'ed up as its quite a bit louder.

My ticking noise is not quite as noticable with my Prochamber. It kind of drowns its out a little. I'm not sure what you mean by 60's? Its really noticable when really cold out until the car comes up to temp. His isn't bad at all IMO.

60# injectors...or are you still running the stock 39's.
Is your prochamber catted (assuming they come in offroad version as well)?
Mine is noticible at all temps...at any point in the drive from startup to just before shutdown on a 600 mile drive. But, I am running 60's which are hella loud and an offroad X which just lets all the sound come out...add in the exhaust leak I have developed and it is a great symphony of sound. lol

Ya'll are going to make me late for work.
I still have the 39's and yes my Prochamber is O/R. You can hear it all the time in my car its just much worse when its like freezing temps outside. But even when my car is warmed up its louder than his car. It sounds the same just louder.
